ILLUSTRATA is an AUstralian brand that produces Stationery and Gifts that are decorated with artwork. Based on a belief that some of the world's best talent and most beautiful work comes out of Australia, we produce high quality Cards, Paper and Stationery products that are a pleasure to use and beautiful to look at.
Jo Lane, trained as a botanical artist at Jenny Phillips' Botanical Art School Melbourne and met and saw distinctive, unique and masterful work being created so started making the work available as cards.
Having an inherent belief that the work both deserved and would be desired as stationery competing with international brands, ILLUSTRATA started up in 2004 and is now stocked in stores throughout Australia. ILLUSTRATA publishes works which are made into Stationery, Greeting and Gift Cards, Gift Boxes, Paperweights and Wrap but there are more products in development as well as more artists coming on board.
Work is never commissioned to use for cards, ILLUSTRATA publishes existing artworks. The greatest of care is taken to select all the artists, products, paper stock and printing quality to provide the experience that ILLUSTRATA believes in. The way an ILLUSTRATA product feels and the images on them, can express so much.
We have just been appointed (June 2010) to distribute PAPERTHINKS, a brand of beautiful jounals and diaries, with acid free paper pages in recycled leather binding.
